Searching the Skies, Part I Exploration is reaching new heights; several new areas have been discovered lately, but with what consequences?
"I was just walking by the village and I stopped to talk to one of my very close friends. Then all of a sudden – CRUNCH!! – The entire Gnome Village (Not that they like…liked the term gnome) had vanished and I was standing face-to-face with a very, very fat squirrel who looked really lazy and unimpressed…You can imagine my shock." After a long conversation with this person – who asked to be anonymous – I discovered that after the terrible loss he had suffered, he had contacted one of the all-powerful Gods in an attempt to get some psychiatric assistance to overcome the loss, and also to receive an explanation about what he refers to as "The dog incident…(Destruction of gnomes.)" The answer he received was – "Destruction is a form of creation…Now, infidel…which village was it you said you came from?" My anonymous source tells me that after that, he ran as fast as he could, and while he ran, several glowing eyes appeared in the darkness around him and several people cackled insanely. "A miracle I survived" he told me.
So where does this leave the rest of us? Will we suddenly have a sea splashing down upon us? There are rumours of explorative journeys taking place but also more area replacements; what should we believe? I decided to investigate what the inhabitants of Aardwolf (which the all-powerful Gods decided isn't really called Aardwolf!??!) thought and knew about the place where they live. "I thought we knew everything there was to know…" and "I don't believe yoo! Aard is flat and there are only two continents!" These are just a few of the statements that I heard after mentioning the possibility of more continents and life forms. It is however the harsh reality! Not too long ago the Gods played around with the mortals of the land (Yes, more than usual.) They asked the mortals to think of names for several new continents! I have not yet been able to find out how exactly these new continents came to be, or if they are simply created by the Gods or…as some say, found with extremely advanced equipment that these immortals have come to possess by trading with "sky people"…I've heard several stories about round things descending from the sky and being greeted by the Immortals. It is still just an unsubstantiated rumour that these things are going on, but I will make it my purpose to uncover the truth about this government cover-up… In the next issue of course…Wouldn't want to spoil all the fun. |
