Great-Bonfire-Day has been declared by shops across Aardwolf as they plan on competing with Christmas. The huge losses brought on by the Christmas tree scandal has resulted in an abundance of leftover trees which cannot be sold. Now the tree vendors say they have found the original spirit of Christmas and they hope others will join them in believing too. All they want people to do, to confirm their faith and goodwill, is to make grand bonfires everywhere with fir trees. According to those selling the trees, it is only a coincidence that the same trees are used for both Christmas trees and Great-Bonfire-Day.

Many grumpy old men are blaming it all on Halloween and for some reason; pigeons. Others around Aardwolf are happily jumping on the bonfire idea - some, like the inhabitants of 'In the Furnace' in Dwarven Kingdom are excited about finally getting a holiday of their own.
