Mysterious Creature Terrorizing Gnome Village
GNOME VILLAGE ENTRANCE - A strange light was reported to the authorities during the rise of the white moon on Sunday near the mine shaft entrance. The light was seen coming from the sky, crashing onto the clearing by the shafts, and sliding into the mine shaft itself. The villagers also reported that after the strange light came crashing down, many of the villagers started to slowly disappear .
One gnome was willing to talk to us about the situation.
"Yeah, dat light sure was purdy. But dat light be takin' da villigers 'ere. Jus da other day, ma brutha was minin', an' ain't returned since." said the gnome. He went on to make additional comments, but this reporter could not make them out; mostly whistles through his teeth and slapping of his knees. Many of the villagers seem very restless, many gnomes are not outside during the dawn, as they were before in the shafts. During the night, this reporter took a look at the mine shaft and the surrounding areas.
Many signs of slash marks to the entrance were visible. When examined closer, strange light appeared to be coming from these marks. Footprints could be seen on the ground, though several sizes bigger than the small feet of the gnomes. Although the villagers are investigating the situation, volunteers from outside the village are assisting them, hoping to perhaps trap this strange creature.
