The recent Emerald Costume Contest gave rise to questions about the clan’s integrity.  Apparently, two-thirds of the prizes awarded went to Emerald clan members over several other highly-qualified applicants.  This, obviously, has caused the rumors of Emerald impropriety.

Breaking with tradition, it appears that Emerald is the only clan who allowed its own members to participate in their clan’s contest.  This simply provides further justification for the public outcry against the clan.

“It’s a scandal,” claimed one disgruntled contestant, “we could see them laughing and patting each other on the backs afterwards.  This whole contest was a sham!”

Faced with these allegations, Emerald has declined to comment.  

This incident mars the otherwise spectacular 2005 Fall Festival.  Luckily, the large amount of prizes awarded by other clans appears to be overpowering any lasting animosity towards Emerald.
