Pondara Wish: Advanced Review
The Promise of Quality Groups - Is it a Scam?
Written by Asereht

The Pondara Wang wish is rumored to be under development, claiming to match attributes of the Individual Adventurer Genome to the preferences of a group-seeker or journeying companion. The wish may be long overdue, according to it's developers, because many adventurers have felt frustrated by their inability to pair up appropriately. While you can't always group immediately with your dream groupie through the Pondara Wang wish, Pondara will recognize features of anyone you do group with and suggest future groupies based on common and similar features. So, what does the group genome look like? Advanced information shows just a few example attributes from one randomly selected player:

has completed more than 40 goals
does not use group triggers
has more than 3 classes
primarily casts area attacks
last died less than 1 hour ago
has more than 10 friends
is not currently clanned
has more PK Victories than Losses

Any given player may have hundreds of attributes, but the makers of Pondara were willing to offer only what they feel players should be able to view without extra fees for this article. As it stands, the developing Wishmasters recommend that the wish be available for 3000 QP (plus adjustments) with a monthly allotment of 3 free uses per day. Additional uses would incur a 10qp/use charge, or the user could opt to subscribe to certain advertisements (currently, Ivar Industries is their top advertiser) and waive the fee for up to 6 free uses per day. Each free use consists of the recommendation of all potential groupmates for the wish user, along with the top 8 attributes of each person. Unsurprisingly, accessing the full list would, under these recommendations, require additional charges.

While I hope this is enough to raise the eyebrows of potential consumers, I will also note what may be Pondara's biggest flaw. There is a function to 'not like' a single character, which will take them off your recommended list for one week and a function to 'ignore' a character, which will remove them permanently. However, there is no way to filter for groups, such as clans, classes, tiers or races.

Vira, when the Pondara Reps come knocking, don't let them in just yet. If anyone is desperate enough to buy this wish, it won't be enough to save them.
