Aliens Found to Secretly Control Immortals
Written by Marahar

In an interview with Ravi, the controller of all things trivia, it was revealed that it was actually an alien.  During the interview, several amazing items were revealed about Ravi's existence and the connection between the Immortals of Aardwolf and its race.

Ravi is a being from several galaxies away who has been connecting to Aardwolf on a secret communications channel.  Only the most trusted Immortals know about this conduit.  This channel was created early in Aardwolf's history in exchange for certain technological advances.  During those early days, it was Ravi who pushed for the development and use of Trivia Points (TPs) and trivia point tokens (TPT).  Trivia Points are the currency of Ravi's home planet.

Due to its extensive background in the hoarding and use of Trivia Points, Ravi had an immediate edge for dispensing and usage of this currency.  Slowly, Ravi has been warping the use of Trivia Points.  The nature of gold and quest points has changed, with players becoming overly consumed with them.  This warping has reached the Immortals, and their view on use and distribution of Trivia Points.

Ravi has slowly been able control of the Immortals through this manipulation.  It started quietly as the Immortals simply distributed TP to players throughout the mud for little gain or profit.  In the early days, it was easy for the Immortals to release them, as no value was set.  But as time went on, the Trivia Points became more important, and the Imms began to tighten their control, not wishing to let go of their own addiction.  Ravi began to gain total control over the Immortals.  Once this was started, it allowed for others from Ravi's world to connect.  Ivar appeared and began to harass and demean the playing population.  The Questor appeared shortly thereafter, controlling the lives of the players, leaving the Immortals for Ravi.

The corruption continued, slowly Ravi gained more control.  This control leapt into the real estate market with the creation of the Aardwolf Estates.  The addiction of the players pleased Ravi, knowing that this obsession would help to eventually take over of the Earth.  However, the Immortals learned of these plans and attempted to slow this addiction by removing the Trivia Point Token.  Ravi was furious with this decision, causing it to decide to take total control of the new Immortals in retaliation.

In a short question session with Obyron, one of these new Immortals, the level of corruption became apparent.  This reporter discovered that promises of domintion over certain portions of the Earth and its people were promised to the newer Immortals in return for helping with the Trivia Point distribution.  "Ravi has begun to take total control of the Immortals lives" Obyron began to say, "there is not a day that goes by that we do not get at least 50 tells, and hundreds of notes from Ravi on plans for the Trivia Points, suggestions for gold usage, and promises of future power from it."

Most of the other Immortals refused to comment about the control Ravi has or promises made.  None of the other Imms agreed to an interview, instead responding with “no comment” to any questions on this subject.  An unconfirmed source said that the Immortals were in disagreement over whether to expand Ravi's port to allow for more bandwidth, or to simply shut it down.  The source stated there were two sides of the discussion and the line was drawn clearly.  On one side was Filt, Xantcha, Vilgan and Khy who all wanted more bandwidth to give Ravi more control.  The others who wish to restrict Ravi consisted of Sarlock, Obyron and Kharpern.  It is unknown where the other Immortals stand on this.

There is no telling how deep the corruption truly goes or how many people are involved.  After the interview with Ravi, the Immortals became very tight lipped and refused to comment further.  All that is truly known is that the real controller of the MUD appears to be Ravi, not the Immortals.  The Immortals are only be an extension of Ravi’s mad plans for world domination.
