All over Midgaard, the squealing voices of children can be heard crying out, "Where's Santa Claus?!  When will he be here?"  The answer, of course, is that he will be here when he gets here.

There is some question about whether Santa will arrive at all, however.  In previous years, the fat, jolly, old elf's arrival has created much controversy by those who wonder why other religions are not represented.  Despite explanations that Santa Claus is not, technically, a religious icon, the complaints resurface every year.  Along with the religious debates, there are also often suggestions that Santa is a bit of a miser.  With all of the trouble it causes, Mr. Claus often states his desire to simply stay home and sit by the fire rather than drag his round belly all around the world in an attempt to bring cheer to "those ungrateful little bastards".

The question, then, would appear to be not, "when will he be here," but rather, "will he be here at all?"  When the question was put to Lasher, he simply smiled enigmatically and replied, "I've seen the list, and I've checked it twice.  And there are an awful lot of naughty children."  And so the question remains unanswered, appearing to depend on what sort of naughtiness Mr. Claus approves of.
