99% of you never say anything in public. You don't write notes more than once a month, and when you do you waste your effort on the ideas or raiding board (like anyone who matters actually reads them). And you don't speak on any channels, other than maybe ftalk, unless it's to sell your SUPERMAX 100% ++EXCELLENT DAGGERPORTAL 99 HR/DR/CHR!! in 37 blinding colors.
And you can believe me when I tell you these things, because I watch all channels and all boards like it's going out of style.
You never say anything, you never contribute to the public discourse, and it's boring as hell.
I don't have a whole lot of time these days, what with the inordinate amount of time I seem to spend at work, drinking, watching movies, and having sex, not necessarily in that order, and not necessarily at different times. The least you could do, I mean if you're going to sit here staring at the screen anyway, is the blood of Jewish, homosexual vagrantsdrop the communication barrier with the rest of the MUD. Write some notes to everyone about something fun, and interesting, and worthwhile. Give me something interesting to read when I get home. You know, write about something that people care about like whether Barack Obama is a secret Muslim who hates white people or what kind of biscuit goes best with the blood of Jewish, homosexual vagrants.
And don't think that any number of "idea" posts means anything. Nobody cares that you want pants of aardwolf that let you kick faster, but only if you're a monk. Nobody cares about your grand schemes to fix raiding or pk or subclasses or tiers or gold or trivia points or quests or the monotony of leveling. In the years of people writing about how to fix raiding, has raiding ever changed? No. Because nobody cares. Has PK ever changed? No. Because nobody cares.
What people care about are things like dirty limericks, penguin jokes, random friendly banter, and naked photos of your sister. So get started on those (photos should be emailed directly to the address in my finger), and make the MUD a better place for everyone. At the very least it will liven the place up.
